How does print management work?

 

Most of us are familiar with the concept of “brokering”. Businesses across the country broker all kinds of goods and services including insurance, commercial freight, mortgages, product manufacturing, financial services, and yes, commercial printing.


Since we are talking about print management and brokering let's first define what exactly that term means. Print brokers (that’s us) are often known as print managers as this better defines their role. We provide a managed service acting as a liaison between our customers and a printer. Using our experience and knowledge of printers capabilities, time scales and cost we are responsible for ensuring our customers receive high quality jobs as efficiently and cost effectively as possible.

Our print partners can concentrate on the management of production staff, machine loadings, technical breakdowns, purchasing of materials and so on. Wouldn't it be cheaper to just buy from a retail printer?


Sometimes yes, but often no. It’s not uncommon for people to make the incorrect assumption that buying direct is always the best way to purchase goods and services.  Buying from a broker often results in a better overall buying experience in terms of results and price. In the print industry we've found that our pricing is generally lower than most retail printers.
